BREAST CANCER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (BCAP)

S2S’s Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP), is a unique assistance program and is a primary focus of the organization. BCAP provides support services, referral service and financial assistance to women facing financial challenges during chemotherapy treatment. These services, for those who qualify, include but not limited to receiving wigs, prosthetics, grocery cards, utilities payments and transportation to chemotherapy treatments.

THE MAMMOGRAPHY OUTREACH PROJECT

This signature program encourages ALL women to get annual mammograms; our slogan for this program is “Early Detection is Your Best Protection”. Early detection has proven to be one of the best weapons in reducing the breast cancer mortality rate.  The data captured by this program is used in our year over year follow-up statistics.

Virtual SURVIVORSHIP MEETINGS

The S2S’s  survivorship meetings are held the second Monday of each month  at the Sisters House. Newly diagnosed woman are encouraged to participate in discussions, ask questions and voice concerns.  Updates are given on treatment options, clinical trials and new research programs. Virtual  Webinars

The Virtual Webinars are held in partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey). The programs provided FREE Breast Health information, Nutrition and the importance of Exercise.  In addition, follow up is provided to all participants that need additional breast health information and/or show signs of health problems.
